Bay Area Store Manager, Full Time

We are looking for a Store Manager to join a hardworking energetic team at our Resource Center in Emeryville, California. The Resource Center is a synthesis of a retail store offering art-glass supplies and a teaching studio helping customers to learn about and work with glass. The Store Manager must be an independent, creative, self-starter who is interested in sales, art, education, problem solving and loves managing. S/he will spend a large percentage of time cultivating relationships internally and externally while supporting and growing a thriving community. Bullseye Glass Co. will train the candidate for this position at the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon and in the Emeryville Resource Center.
Additionally, the Store Manager will help schedule workshops and events led by fellow Bullseye staff and visiting international artists. S/he will develop a comprehensive understanding of the Bullseye product line and its use in kilnforming through on the job training, provide technical support for customers and students, and oversee the studio and retail floor so that it remains stimulating and inviting.
Qualified candidates will have a background in art, community outreach, social media, at least 5 years experience in supervision and 3 years in retail sales, a general business background, a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, proficiency in retail software, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task.
