Emerge 2016 is the ninth in Bullseye's biennial series of exhibitions. Selected from 370 entries, the 42 finalists—representing 16 countries—were evaluated on their creativity, craftsmanship, and design by a panel of three jurors. Awards in this international juried competition included a total of $22,000 in Bullseye Glass gift cards, recognition at an awards ceremony and representation in a full-color catalog. Selected award winners were included in Emerge/Evolve 2016, a national tour culminating in an exhibition at the Bellevue Arts Museum. Evolve 2016 features Rei Chikaoka (Emerge 2010 and 2014), Matthew Day Perez (Emerge 2008 and 2010), and Carmen Vetter (Emerge 2006 and 2008). Emerge/Evolve touring exhibitionsBoth Emerge 2016 and Evolve 2016 exhibitions were view at Bullseye Projects in Portland from June 25 – October 1, 2016.
