BECon 2003
BECon 2003 took place in Portland, Oregon from August 1 to 3, 2003. The first-time conference sponsored by Bullseye Glass was attended by over 150 educators and artists from 22 US states and 8 foreign countries. Lectures, panel discussions, demonstrations, an exhibition (Legacy), special events including factory tours and workshops combined to make the gathering an overwhelming success.

WHAT IT IS:
A conference for educators involved with the art and craft of kiln glass to meet and discuss technical and educational approaches to the territory.
WHEN IT WAS:
Three-day conference: August 1 - 3
Pre-conference Legacy Reception: July 31
Pre-conference workshops: July 27 - July 31
Post-conference workshops: August 4 - 8
WHERE IT WAS:
Portland, Oregon in the combined facilities of: Embassy Suites Downtown, Bullseye Glass Factory, Bullseye Gallery, Bullseye Connection Resource Center, and Various local kiln glass studios.
WHO IT WAS:
Artist-teachers, administrators and others involved in the techniques and philosophies of teaching kiln-glass.
COST WAS:
Full three-day conference (Fri - Sun): $375 (includes pre-conference reception, three luncheons, and gala factory Lehr-B-Q).
Conference fees increase on July 1.
