Artist Morgan Madison’s work now at the Portland Resource Center

Every day at the Bullseye factory, glass casters turn molten scoops of glass into beautiful, hand-cast sheets. Portland glass artist Morgan Madison used to do that job.

Fused glass plate by M. Madison

A great orange and gray plate made by Morgan Madison.

Today, it’s clear that his artwork is informed by his unique appreciation for a material he helped make.

Bullseye glass caster

A Bullseye glass caster (not Morgan) starts a molten blob of glass on its way to becoming a finished sheet.

Stop by the Portland Resource Center and see firsthand what Morgan is doing with glass now. It’s clear that he still labors over the glass. His designs are meticulous, colorfully balanced, and well thought out, demonstrating what can happen when creativity combines with a strong working knowledge of glass.

Morgan's work is available for sale in Bullseye's Portland Resource Center.

While we miss working with Morgan, we’re glad he’s still making such beautiful glasswork!

And if Portland is a trip too far, Morgan’s wonderful glasswork can also be found at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York (at least it could when I last visited) http://www.madmuseum.org/
