It was a FUN evening where lasting friendships were made. Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Lani!! The 3 ribbons were because we were each finalists at that first WG@BE, attending HGH but I can't remember what the third was for.

It's such a joy to see this work again and such a privilege to have been across the table to see it unfold.

Oh it brings back such memories of casting with Bertil at the Tacoma Museum of Glass. This was such a treat to witness the whole process and WOW ! 42 pieces. You must have to anneal quite a bit longer for a full kiln like that. Incredible and inspirational. Thankyou sooo much for sharing this Lani! I look so forward to the end of the story. !!! and a pic or two as well. Like I said , I am so inspired.

Gloria,
"Slowly" was definitely the operative word in my case. Watching your residency really stopped me in my tracks. Yesterday Catharine & Carmen reminded me I'd dropped the blog ball a month ago. Trying to pick it up again....

Leaving Lybster

Packing, laughing, lingering, last pictures, collecting thoughts.

Memories of place - the croft, the brough, the harbour. Memories of people so kind to strangers.

Slowly, moving south, leaving Lybster.
