FEATURING US ARTISTS CATHARINE NEWELL
AND APRIL SURGENT

Newell and Surgent will appear together at eight colleges and universities throughout the UK. In each six-hour, day-lecture programme, they will discuss their individual art works, backgrounds, inspirations, and techniques. The US-based artists are widely recognised for figurative work in kilnformed glass. Newell “paints” with glass frits and powders, and Surgent cameo-engraves fused glass layers.
TIMES, LOCATIONS, AND DATES
All lectures begin at 9:30 and end at 16:30-17:00, with a break for lunch.
