California, here they come!
Bullseye Glass Company of Portland, Oregon, is on track to open a Resource Center in the San Francisco Bay Area in Spring 2012.
The new facility in Emeryville, California, will offer classes, lectures, demonstrations, and the full line of Bullseye glass products and will house a small exhibition space to showcase works by emerging and established masters working in the field of kilnformed glass.
The first exhibition scheduled for Bullseye Resource Center Bay Area will be a touring show featuring artists who began working in kiln-glass later in their lives, after establishing careers or working in other fields. The artists met during two recent summer residencies at Pilchuck Glass School, where they created the kiln-glass featured in the exhibition. Act Two originated at the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner, Washington, and will have a three-month run in Emeryville.
Bullseye Resource Center Bay Area will be managed by Melody Kennedy, a recent MFA graduate of San Jose State University. For location details and opening dates as they develop, visit the Bullseye website.
