October 1-2 & 4
Monday & Tuesday, 6-8:30pm
Thursday, 6-7pm
This popular introductory class offers a taste of the kilnforming process for those who want to make something functional. Workshop participants create two fused and slumped plates, using glass elements that are precut. Discussions of kilnforming basics—including glass styles, molds, firing, and more—are integrated with demonstrations and hands-on workshop activity. Glass-cutting experience is helpful but not required.
