Artists in a number of countries where this course has been taught have reported discovering new insights into their personal directions as a result of the class. Participants use powders and frits to acquire advanced kilnforming skills and a greater understanding of composition, line, spatial perspective, and layering—in a highly personal way. Concepts are developed through an exploration of intentions and influences. Topics include aesthetics, intimacy with subject, flexibility of thought, pursuit of individual projects, and color studies.
