When you enter e-merge 2008, you can compete to win:

* This year’s e-merge exhibition will be on view for hundreds of peers and collectors attending the Glass Art Society’s 38th annual conference (Portland, June 19-21).

February 22: Submissions close.
May 17: Festive awards ceremony at Bullseye Resource Center.
May 5-July 25: Exhibition on view at Bullseye Resource Center.
June 20: Evening reception for attendees of the Glass Art Society Conference.

Entries to e-merge 2008 will be judged on artistic excellence and must be made with Bullseye glasses.

Submissions will be accepted until February 22.

Bullseye Workshops Surrounding GAS 2008

We’re now taking applications for our four special courses to be held immediately before and after the Glass Art Society conference in Portland this summer. These workshops present an unusual opportunity to study key kilnforming topics in depth with internationally recognized artists. You need not attend the GAS conference to take the courses.

WHAT, WHY AND HOW
Cobi Cockburn& Charles Butcher, June 13–18
Develop an overall methodology for creating your work—from exploring ideas with drawings and models to creating a finished object. Classes will be held in our well-equipped Research & Education studios at the Bullseye factory, where a number of materials and methods fundamental to kiln-glass have been developed over the past 30 years, in collaboration with artists from around the world.
