Looking for maroon glass

Postby 2bookworms » Mon Mar 19, 2018 3:50 pm

I am looking to see if anyone has an idea how I can find or make a maroon frit. I need a dark maroon for a project and can not seem to find this color. Bullseye has a deep red, but more red than maroon. Any thoughts or direction would be appreciated.

How are you using the maroon frit? Perhaps you can use a reactive clear combined with a copper glass style.

Have you looked at the deep plum transparent, 1105? That's a nice maroon colour...

"Deep Red Opalescent" is about the color of a really dark tomato paste.

"Maroon is a dark brownish red color that takes its name from the French word marron, or chestnut. The Oxford English Dictionary describes it as "a brownish crimson or claret color." Wikipedia"
