Well, here we go again.
Sorry about the seemingly never ending questions.
Is a kiln with wall heating elements preferable over elements in the lid?
Would one be wise to get a kiln with both types?

Hello,

I'm glad I can help, there is a lot to figure out. The best glass kilns typically have elements on the roof and the side walls, it helps distribute the heat evenly which is key. Some smaller Kilns have elements on the roof only, which works because of the size of the inside chamber, but if your budget allows, the best option is a kiln with the elements on the sides AND roof.If you re thinking about getting a kiln, https://videos.bullseyeglass.com/videos/bringing-home-your-new-kiln/ about some of the considerations. I hope it helps.
Tks,
