opaline white billets

Hi to everybody,
does anybody used the white opaline billets for kiln cast pieces ? Does the glass stays opaline or does it turn opaque white ?
Any experiences are appreciated .

Hi Sibylle--

You're way ahead of us! We actually don't make Opaline White billets at this time. Formulating an opaline billet that will maintain the waxy translucency at the long holds necessary for lost wax casting would be a challenge for us.

As you probably know, we do make Opaline sheet glass in 3mm and 2mm thicknesses. Opaline sheet glass will opacify more at casting times/temperatures than it does when fused as a stacked sheet glass. (When casting stacked Opaline sheets, the translucency can be manipulated by interlayering the Opaline sheets with Clear sheets.)
