QR codes on glass

Postby marthapahler » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:01 pm

Has anyone tried to fuse QR codes on glass and have iPhones able to read it?
I am not only a glass fuser but a master gardener. Our educational center, Willow Bend, here in Flagstaff is looking for a better way to label plants around their wonderful environmental center.
I thought if I could fuse them permanently onto glass pieces 2" X 3"?? and fuse a metal rod into the piece it would be a permanent way to display. Sepia tone I know is the only color from the paper. Love it to be in black. Has anyone had a project like this? Cant find anything on-line.

Did you figure something out? I would love to hear what you found successful.
If you are still looking around, have you considered using decals? https://shop.bullseyeglass.com/fusible- ... -pack.html

You could make your own screen-printed decals of the QR codes, using Color Line pastes. That would allow you to include the name of the plant, too!

Here is a video about making decals with Color Line Pastes:
