Hello,

The DOW 995 under the cleat surface should come off cleanly when the tape is removed - if any bits remain at the narrow end you can use a longer 9mm snap off knife to get in there:
(something like one of these)

If the cleat surface wasn't covered with tape and has DOW 995 adhered to it - the longer blade and a bit of elbow grease will help is the best way to clean it up.

I've watched this video a couple of times. I really wish there was a PDF document outlining the steps, and conversions from mm to inches. I had to take screen captures and pause the videos several times to get all the steps.
