I'm curious what it was that Hanmi taped the paper to? It looked like something I might want to (try to) invest in for my photo area.

Thanks for the feedback Dana & Aviva! I'm so glad you found the video helpful.

Aviva, I use a 60% white translucent acrylic sheet with a P95 matte finish. However, if you're just starting out I would strongly suggest using a matte finish laminate sheet (Formica, Wilson Art, etc) instead. Laminate sheets are much lighter and less expensive, very forgiving, easy to clean, and light reacts predictably with the surface. Light does some weird things with the translucent acrylic and you have to be very careful to avoid gouging/scratching the surface. If you can only get one backdrop, I would suggest a matte neutral gray as it will be the most versatile. We also have black and white laminate sheets that we swap in/out as needed, as well as fabrics and paper.
