Glass Blower/Material Handler

Art Handler/Gallery Maintenance

The Bullseye Connection Gallery is seeking a part-time person to ship and receive glass artworks, install exhibitions, and perform routine upkeep within facility.

Lighting experience and Photoshop experience a plus. Must have valid drivers license. Ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, meticulous in their data entry skills, and able to lift 50 lbs. Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (flexible).

Facilities Technician

We are growing and in need of a responsible person to help maintain our facilities and equipment. Experience in these areas a must: small equipment repair, painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, janitorial and forklift. Ideal candidate will be able to work independently and in a team, have a valid drivers license w/ clean record, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Day shift, Tues-Sat.

The ideal candidate should have a college degree with a minimum of 2 years (or 4 years equivalent) “hands-on” supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Glass and or foundry experience helpful. Qualified applicant must possess good leadership skills, ability to delegate, ability to multi- task, and problem solve. Ideal candidate should also have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must have basic computer skills: Word and Excel.

Glass Melter Lead

We have an opening for a full-time, Lead Glass Melter .

Experience working in an industrial environment preferred, ability to lift 50 lbs+ on a regular basis and interest in glass helpful. Prior lead or supervisory experience is preferred.

Requires ability to follow verbal and written instructions, attention to detail, and self-motivation a MUST! Job entails working near hot furnaces, and working with molten glass.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8:00 pm - 4:30 am.

Special Exhibits & Events Manager

The Special Exhibits and Events Manager will coordinate and help to implement Bullseye’s biennial educational conference and its traveling educational exhibition while managing and upgrading documentation of the company’s corporate collection, slide and print libraries and acting as primary liaison for visiting art groups and museum involvement. This manager will also facilitate the information flow between artist projects in R&E and their translation into exhibition materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate traveling art exhibitions

• Knowledge of art management principles, methods, procedures and standards

• Knowledge and understanding of art appreciation and art history

• Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team

• Skill in organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments

• Ability to manage and work with outside vendors and contractors.

• Detail-oriented and efficient, ability to multi-task

• Proficiency with office software programs such as Word, Excel, Filemaker.

• Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management

• Graduate level degree and minimum 3 years experience working within a gallery or museum environment.

Executive Assistant to Gallery Director

Versatile, self-starter to work with director of the Bullseye Connection Gallery. Responsibilities include general administrative support of both director and gallery operations, with an emphasis on marketing.

Skills in general proofing/editing, note-taking, file organization; strong computer experience and aptitude. Knowledge of WORD, Excel, FMP, especially useful. Interest in the visual arts. Event planning experience helpful.

Graphic Designer

Bullseye Glass Co. is seeking a professional, creative, organized, and reliable staff graphic designer for print projects and more. As a member of the marketing team, you may also assist with photography, cataloging images, web design, proofreading, pr and other projects. Position offers variety and excellent benefits. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and writing skills, attention to detail, color acuity, and ability to work independently and with a group. Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in art or design, 3 years experience, advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, & Acrobat). Cumulus/MediaDex, Excel, and web-based skills a plus.

Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright/Electrician)

Portland based Int’l colored art glass mfg. is growing and is in need of a F/T Millwright with a current Oregon LME or greater license. A min. of 5 years exp. in a mfg environment with working knowledge in metal fabrication, electrical (diagnose electrical motors, plc’s, variable frequency drives, replace breakers and motor starters), mechanical systems, pipe fitting, general machine maintenance, PM on factory equip, some plumbing and a good understanding of natural gas burner equipment. Also will be required to work overtime and be on-call. We offer an excellent benefit pkg.
