Glass Melter

Requires ability to follow verbal and written instructions, attention to detail, and self-motivation a MUST! Job entails working near hot furnaces, and working with molten glass.

Possible shift rotation – days/swing/ graveyard.

REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Qualifications needed: A love of craft, an enthusiasm for people and the energy to fuse art and selling! Bachelor’s degree preferred, 2 years sales and customer service experience preferred, computer competency including: Word, Excel, Access and Outlook, good eye for color and numbers, accuracy a must. Plus an excellent phone manner a must.

Responsibilities: Regional Sales Representative will work proactively with existing and prospective customers to achieve sales goals. Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual sales for their assigned territory. Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone, call canvassing, face-to-face meetings, email & networking. Some travel required.

Welder/Fabricator

Ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience, with stick, mig, and tig welding. Fabrication of: aluminum, stainless, and mild steels. Machining skills to create in-house parts using lathes and grinders. Must be self-motivated w/ability to work from drawings w/minimal supervision. Some exp in electrical/plumbing helpful. Strong problem solving capabilities in a variety of tasks.

Quality Control Glass Trimmer

Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., good eye for color, accurate record-keeping, good attention to detail, flexible with schedule, ability to multi-task, and glass cutting experience and/or quality control experience a plus.

Position requires cutting sheet glass, looking for color variations in the glass, stones, cracks, and/or bubbles. Entering information into the computer, record-keeping, and labeling glass sheets.

Ultimately, you will teach and develop curriculum in kilnformed glass, while you work with other members of the Research and Education team, students, teachers, and internationally known artists. You will also be responsible for process and product research, fabrication, customer technical support, and all aspects of being part of the team, from grime to glory. You are a well-organized problem solver that pays close attention to detail. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a firm grasp of math. You are wise enough to realize that you don’t know it all and are ready to learn, both from your successes and your failures. You are flexible, willing to work hard, get dirty, and then clean up. Hands-on experience in the arts, especially ceramics, and/or basic scientific/laboratory technique is extremely helpful. Experience w/Mac and PC, Word, Excel and Outlook a plus. Bachelor degree preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid driver’s license a must. Hours: Full-time.

Santa Fe Retail Sales/Studio Assistant

 Bullseye Glass is in need of a fulltime Retail Sales/Studio Assistant to help run its Resource Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Resource Center is both a retail store offering art-glass supplies and a teaching studio helping customers to work with the products. The Retail Sales/Studio Assistant will sell Bullseye products and classes, create in-store displays and educational samples, receive and manage inventory, assist in the daily running of the store and teaching studio, help keep the studio clean, and support the on-site instructor and visiting artists in teaching classes. Bullseye Glass Co. will train the candidate for this position at the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon.

 The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree (art/art history preferred) or equivalent experience, knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience, and excellent organization and communication skills.

This full-time Receptionist position is located at our factory. Ideal candidate will have prior office experience including: answering incoming lines, routing calls, greeting the public, processing incoming/outgoing mail, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
