Santa Fe Retail Sales/Studio Assistant

 Bullseye Glass is in need of a fulltime Retail Sales/Studio Assistant to help run its Resource Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Resource Center is both a retail store offering art-glass supplies and a teaching studio helping customers to work with the products. The Retail Sales/Studio Assistant will sell Bullseye products and classes, create in-store displays and educational samples, receive and manage inventory, assist in the daily running of the store and teaching studio, help keep the studio clean, and support the on-site instructor and visiting artists in teaching classes. Bullseye Glass Co. will train the candidate for this position at the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon.

 The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree (art/art history preferred) or equivalent experience, knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, 2 years of retail sales or customer service experience, and excellent organization and communication skills.

Receptionist

This full-time Receptionist position is located at our factory. Ideal candidate will have prior office experience including: answering incoming lines, routing calls, greeting the public, processing incoming/outgoing mail, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, have great organizational and communication skills along with the ability to multi-task.

We are in need of a warehouse person to work in our fast-paced warehouse. Duties include: building crates, stocking, pulling, packing and cutting glass. Qualified applicant should have a good eye for color, be self-motivated, a team player, safety-conscious, and have the ability to lift 50 lbs. Glass handling experience and forklift experience are pluses.

Santa Fe Resource Center General Manager

 Bullseye Glass needs a General Manager to run its Resource Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the Resource Center, which is both a retail store offering art-glass supplies and a teaching studio helping customers to work with the products. The General Manager must be a well-rounded individual who is interested in sales, art, and education and who has skills in supervision, management, and customer service. S/he will spend a large percentage of time interacting with customers on the retail floor and in the teaching studio. Bullseye Glass Co. will train the candidate for this position at the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon.

 Qualified candidates will have a background in art, at least 5 years experience in supervision and 3 years in retail sales, a general business background, a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, proficiency in retail software, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task.

This full-time position is key in the production of our glass. The position entails using a forklift to receive and store raw materials, accurate measuring, weighing and mixing of raw materials. The ideal candidate must be a good listener, work well in a team and with minimal supervision, have excellent attention to detail, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Forklift and warehouse experience a plus.
This position works Sunday – Thursday with a rotating shift: 2 months on day shift, and 2 months on swing shift.

Art Handler/Preparator

The Bullseye Gallery is in need of a full-time person to ship and receive glass artworks, install exhibitions, and perform routine upkeep within facility. Lighting experience and Photoshop experience a plus. Carpentry skills a must. Must have a valid drivers license. Ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, meticulous in their data entry skills, and able to lift 50 lbs. Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm.

Santa Fe Instructor/Technician

Bullseye Glass needs a  fulltime Instructor/Studio Technician for its Resource Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Resource Center is both a retail store offering art-glass supplies and an instructor-run art glass studio. The primary duties of this position will be to: teach and develop curriculum in kilnformed glass, coordinate the class and events schedule with Bullseye Glass Co.’s Director of Research & Education, coordinate workshops and lectures for visiting artists and instructors, have a comprehensive understanding of the Bullseye product line and its use in kilnforming, provide technical support for customers and students, keep the studio clean and organized and the equipment maintained, and provide direction to the Studio Assistant. Bullseye Glass Co. will train the candidate for this position at the Bullseye factory in Portland, Oregon.

 The qualified candidate will be a well-organized problem solver who: pays close attention to detail; has a 4-year college degree; has hands-on experience in the arts with an emphasis in ceramics, glass and/or basic scientific/laboratory technique; has knowledge of art history and aesthetics; and has a valid driver’s license.

Production Supervisor

We have a unique F/T position open for a hands-on Glass Melting supervisor. Ideal candidate should have a college degree with a minimum of 2 years (or 4 years equivalent) “hands-on” supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Glass and/or foundry experience helpful.

Must possess good leadership skills, ability to delegate, ability to multi- task, have basic computer skills, and ability to problem solve. Ideal candidate should also have excellent organizational, and communication skills and flexibility with schedule.

Requires ability to follow verbal and written instructions, attention to detail, and self-motivation a MUST! Job entails working near hot furnaces, and working with molten glass.

Possible shift rotation – days/swing/ graveyard.
