Basic Kilncast Glass

This class is a rich introduction to kilncasting glass with hand-built refractory molds. As a student, you will complete four projects. These will include a bas relief casting and three castings made with different forms of glass (frit, powder, and billet) to illustrate the unique qualities of each form. You will learn fundamental coldworking skills as well as firing procedures and investment mold recipes. No prerequisites.
