Artist Talk: Narcissus Quagliata - Archetypes and Visions in Light and Glass
Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata pioneered methods that have broken the boundaries of glass as an art medium. He has created large-scale projects on three continents, including Divinity in Light installed on a Michelangelo basilica in the artist’s native Rome. Quagliata will use this and other projects as a lens through which to discuss the significance of light as a relevant medium in the contemporary environment, and present his work on the figure as a symbol that mirrors the human soul.
The artist will also sign copies of Narcissus Quagliata: Archetypes and Visions in Light and Glass. Copies will be available for purchase at the event. Prior to the event, copies are available at Resource Center Santa Fe or through the Bullseye Online Store (while supplies last).
