NEW TINT COLORS FOR 2010 2010-06-01
Bullseye's palette of compatible colors now includes six luscious new tints, available both as billets and 3mm sheets. These styles were inspired by feedback from BECon 2009 attendees, so we know the colors appeal to kilncasters. IRIDIZED REACTIVE ICE CLEAR 2009-08-18
In the image at left we placed a piece of Light Cyan Opal (000216), which contains some copper, on the kiln shelf. Next, a piece of our new iridized Reactive Ice Clear was fired on top, irid-side down. As you can see, an interface reaction developed as a crackle pattern. Similar results may be achieved by pairing iridized Reactive Ice with other Bullseye copper-bearing glasses. REVISED ANNEALING CHART 2009-07-14
As of June 2009, Bullseye has changed its chart for annealing thick slabs. Specifically, the recommended anneal soak temperature has been lowered from 960°F/516°C to 900°F/482°C saving kilnworkers time and energy. Learn more... |
