Speechless in the Highlands

Over at Warm Glass, Toni just pointed out that I’m neglecting my blog – again. What can I say? She’s right. I’m back in the Scottish Highlands. It’s the 58th parallel. It’s two days away from the Winter Solstice. The beginning of the day looks like this:Sunrise

The end of the day looks like this:

End of Day

In between there’s about three hours of daylight.

I should spend it blogging?

does anyone but me look at skies like those above and wish that i could get a piece of glass with those patterns and colors?

  3. Thanks for the post, Lani, but why are you spending your time blogging?? :D

…might look pretty but it’s a wee bit cold! My workshop says minus 7 at the moment with no water and a temperamental controller that won’t work under zero degrees. The solstice is my favourite day as it can only get better after that! Happy solstice everyone and a fab Hogmanay!

Oh quit whinging about the cold, Amanda, and have a wee dram!

That is why you pay the big bucks to be there. Enjoy the view and the dram. Thanks for the looksee.
