On a cold and rainy day in November, we invited three artists into the kilnforming studio at Bullseye Glass. They were each given half-sheets of white glass, a pile of vitrigraph stringers, and time to draw with those stringers.

We decided to give the artists a little help by providing them with a list of words they could use for inspiration. We asked them to select one of these words to use as a point of departure. What would they choose?
