A deeper understanding of the basic principles of design will help you make more confident decisions in your work. These principles include: unity & variety, emphasis, balance, proportion & scale, rhythm & pattern, and movement.

These principles are fluid and can change depending on culture, era, and application. You may already be implementing them, either intentionally or instinctively. In this lesson, we'll explore these principles of design using powder printed elements.
