Detailed Information

About 002250 Sheet Glass
Cold characteristics

Originally developed for stained glass and mosaic applications. Expect color variation within a single sheet & throughout production runs.

Hand-rolled and controlled for mix consistency, with the unique patterning of true art glass.

Working Notes

Constituent Glasses: Soft Yellow Opalescent (non-standard production) and Deep Red Transparent a.k.a. Copper Red (non-standard production)

Each sheet contains a reactive combination that will continue to strike and develop with heatwork. Expect variation, which can occur within a single sheet & throughout production.

002250, like other Streaky sheet glasses, has natural variation in how the constituent glasses mix. Where sheets have more distinct areas of each constituent glass, they tend to maintain distinct coloration when fired. Where sheets have more layered and blended constituent glasses , they are prone to fire darker and more homogenous in color. The unfired composition of the sheet and the process temperature for firing both factor into the result.

Full Fuse Samples of 002250:
Top row: Fired results of sections of a sheet with less blending of constituent colors.
Bottom row: Fired results of sections of a sheet with more blending of constituent colors. The lower half of the bottom row of samples shows the effect of a clear cap sheet.

Hand-rolled and controlled for mix consistency, with the unique patterning of true art glass. Suitable for kilnforming, stained glass, and mosaics.

Fusible / Bullseye-compatible.
